Currently serving as a Lender Optimization Consultant at TruStage, she partners with credit union leaders across NC, SC, VA implementing sales strategies and optimizing financial protection solution offerings.

Previously, LaQuetta held the role of Vice President at VyStar Credit Union, where she led the Daytona Beach Market. Her leadership was marked by market expansion strategies, financial education workshops, and member service excellence.

Erica Marshall was born & raised in Lansing, MI where she attended and graduated from Everett High School (Yes you are correct, the same high school as Magic Johnson). She relocated to the DC Metro area in 2007 and currently resides in Waldorf, Maryland.

Erica started her career in the credit union industry back in 2007 with State Department Federal Credit Union where she worked various positions for over 10 years. Her most recent position was with Commonwealth One Federal Credit Union where she served as the Training Manager for 5 years. She joined CUNA Mutual Group now TruStage as a Lender Development Program Specialist in April of 2023.

As an active community leader, LaQuetta has served on numerous boards and committees, including the City of Daytona Beach Affordable Housing Advisory Board, Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce Board & Strategic Planning Committee, United Way of Volusia-Flagler, and the Midtown Community Development Corporation Board. She is also a member of The Links, Incorporated.

LaQuetta’s earlier roles include district and regional leadership positions, where she led performance coaching programs, increased sales growth, and championed leadership development initiatives.

A passionate advocate for financial literacy, LaQuetta founded MyPLAN Forward, a financial education initiative that teaches core money management concepts through engaging workshops and real-life financial wellness simulations. She is a trusted facilitator, financial wellness champion, and collaborative change agent whose mission is to empower individuals and organizations through education.

Erica continues to further her education and has received a Certificate in Human Resources Management, and currently working on completing her bachelor’s degree in HR Management at University of Maryland Global College. Erica is a mommy of two, a 11- year-old girl Tamia and 2-year-old boy Micah and a dog mom to her poodle Roxy. She is engaged hoping
to marry in 2024.

In her spare time, she works with a local escape room to provide balloons and decorations for their events.

Erica has a true passion for training, and has always loved the universal core value, of Credit Unions, people helping people. She looks forward to serving her Credit Unions and helping in any way to achieve our goals.
